Automated Interlock Guarding is an improved system integrated with PC control which automatically stops the head rotation if the guard is opened.

Rod Handling keeps operators away from moving parts thereby reducing on-site incidents.

PC Control makes is easier for driller to learn the process. This automated process allows everyone to train the same way creating consistency and mitigating errors.

Boart Longyear is introducing quieter engines which yield lower noise levels and enclosing engines with sound-proof guarding to reduce the impact of noise on both our drill crews and sensitive receptors in the environment.

Additionally, the continuing evolution of our drill rigs currently offer Tier 3 engines in most models. In the future we will offer Tier 4 engines that will be even more fuel efficient, and will further reduce emissions.
